Jesus Christ modelled a lifestyle of “passion for prayer”.
He prayed often, with intention and intensity. He appropriated time to pray, sometimes all night, often in isolation, in lonely desert places and also in public (Mark 1:35, Luke 6:12, Luke 3:21-22, Luke 22:39-46).
Jesus revealed the power of prayer in John 14:13-14, 16:23-24 and also read John 17 where Jesus prayed for his people. A habit of praying is not dependent upon “our calling, gifts or abilities”.
Prayer is a necessity, a must for our spiritual survival in this earthly realm!
Is God challenging you to a deeper prayer life? Do you want to walk in a new level of power and authority? Go deeper in your prayer life with God! Carve out time for you and God!
“Throughout history God has looked for those willing to yield everything to Him and His desire to redeem the world. At times God has marvelled that no one was willing to go with Him (Isaiah 63:5; 59:16). The prophets seemed to grasp more than the common people, for while society carried on as though nothing was wrong, the prophets agonised and wept over what they knew God was preparing to do. God is calling you to go deeper in your prayer life with Him. If you are willing to be the person Jesus can take with Him into the most sacred moments, you will experience things only the angels shared with Jesus in the garden that night.”
Open your heart to the Father, let Him in and ‘BE‘! BE intentional, BE persistent and BE passionate! Make “prayer your priority”.
