It’s hard to believe that 2013 is well under way.  A new year gives us the opportunity to have a new beginning in many areas of our lives.

Question to you:  Is your light of hope burning brightly for a year filled with PURPOSE?

Keep hope alive in your hearts because where there is hope there is faith. Where there is hope there is expectation (Romans 8:24-25).  Let hope illuminate your faith this year. Remember, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen”.

Where there is no hope, there is no faith and where there is no faith it is impossible to please God.  Hope is the blueprint of our faith.  When hope is lost, faith loses its objective.

Let your faith be an activator and inspiration to making reality your goals, dreams and visions because “…faith without works (without action) is dead”.

The following scriptures remind us that God wants us to walk in the fullness of all He has for us:

  •  Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
  • 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

People often associate the word prosperity solely with financial increase.  Prosperity in life does not just relate to finances; it relates to every area of life e.g. physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing.  This verse is a reminder that God’s intentions towards us are good and positive and that he wants us to have a flourishing future.

In case you needed reminding – YOU are uniquely created – YOU are an original and there is no other – no replica.  God has placed within you many gifts, talents, abilities and idiosyncrasies that all add up to making you unique.  If you are able to grasp this fact it might relieve some of our struggles with self-acceptance and self-love.

Knowing who you are and who you are in Christ puts you on the road to understanding your purpose.  God has given each of us a purpose for living and we can trust him to guide us.

Immense potential lies within every single one of us and God has created us wonderfully with thought, precision and purpose (Psalm 139:1-18; Ephesians 2:10).  So, do not allow yourself to be distracted from the predestined call of God upon your life.  When you know, understand and accept who you are you in Christ your purpose in life will become clear – you will then be synchronized (be in harmony) with your future, as God intended.

“Knowing your purpose, keeps your focus”

YOU are a person of PURPOSE and WE are a people who live with PURPOSE.  You have a mission, an assignment here on the earth, identify it and walk in it.

In 2013, dare to dream and dare to make your dream a reality.  With God, nothing is impossible.  By God’s grace, 2013 will be a year that will transcend 2012.  Make it your year of New Beginnings.

Be liberated in the knowledge of the truth that you cannot change your past but you with God have the power to define your future.

Take responsibility to free yourself from the shackles (circumstances, people, emotions, the past, etc.) that confine and restrict you from the liberty of progression and freedom to soar high in God and in life.  (Galatians 5:1 says “Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set you free and be not entangled in the yoke of bondage (or slavery).”

Move from a state of “ordinary” to “extraordinary”

Do not let the fear of failure be an obstacle.  Remember, failure is when you decide to ‘give up’ and not try again.  Therefore, I encourage you in 2013 to stand strong and firm even in the face of adversity.  Move forward with conviction and belief in God’s assurance that “all things will work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose….” (Romans 8:28-30).  In every situation give thanks!

“Life is a gift to you and you are a gift to life and to this world”
